Art Department
The goal of the art department is to develop a sense of appreciation, respect and love for the arts. Classes are involved in viewing, critiquing, and creating art and are centered on the elements and principles of art and design. Through these activities students develop critical thinking skills, self discipline, responsibility and self esteem. We hope to provide activities that foster skills, techniques and habits vital to sucessful visual expression.
Student work is displayed throughout the school year in the "Gallery on the Bridge". A culminating Student Art Show is held in May, where the entire year's work is displayed.
