Dylan Bate English Teacher School Phone Number: (802) 875-2146 ex. 247 American Literature  AP English Senior English   Raised in northern Vermont, I attended Bennington College and the School for International Training.  I served in the Peace Corps for two years in south-western China and spent an additional two years teaching English to musically gifted second through fourth graders in the capital city of Beijing.  Seven years ago, I began teaching at GMUHS as the seventh grade Language Arts teacher, transferring to the high school the next year, where I teach eleventh and twelfth graders American Literature and AP English.  I like to believe I offer a rigorous but challenging curriculum that allows students to meet their potential, balancing traditional, classic texts with contemporary literature.  In my spare time, I cross-country ski and hike mountains.
