I have been a Special Education Teacher for most of my adult life starting in 1975 when my career began at Hartford High School in White River Junction, Vermont. I studied Special Education at Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont where I received my BA degree. I have furthered my studies through graduate course work at the University of Vermont, St. Michael's College and through various other professional development opportunitites. I am a Literacy Leader for our school district working with The Vermont Reads Institute in Montpelier and also a member of our local Professional Development Committee. I case manage special education students in grades 8, 9 and 10 and teach Study Skills in the resource room setting as well as co-teach Language Arts 8 with Norm Merrill.
I have made Chester my home with my husband since 1982. We have raised our four children in this wonderful community, all of whom graduated from Green Mountain Union High School.
