The GM Middle School Mathematics curriculum offers Algebra and Pre-Algebra mathematics courses. Placement decisions are made for incoming 7th graders based on a combination of 6th Grade teacher recommendation and prior year's standardized test (NECAP and MAP) results.
The GMUHS Program of Studies includes the following courses for high school students
Transition Math --a pre-algebra mathematics class
Algebra I--basic algebra (also offered over two years Algebra IA/IB)
Geometry--types of geometry through proofs
Algebra II--polynomials, exponents, mathematical modeling
Business Math--practical real life use of mathematics
Pre-Calc/Trig--trignometry, complex numbers, parametrics, conics
Statistics and Probability--uses and formulae for probability and statistics
AP Calculus--college board curriculum for preparation for AP test
